There are a lot of child abuse survivor stories from different people. There are so many accounts these days, that it becomes hard to keep track of all the incidents that occur. The problem with children being abused is that they do not know that they could report it. Since they have no sense of authority over anyone, these incidents happen just about everyday, unnoticed by the people around children.

There are about five children deaths every single day due to abuse and neglect. This number has been constantly increasing yearly over the decade, which only shows the increasing neglect the society has towards children. What this is, is a hidden epidemic. A lot of people turn a blind eye towards this very issue because rarely can they do something significant towards this cause.

Neglect and corruption knows no bounds. It happens across every social and cultural line. It occurs in all educational levels, across all ages. No matter how affluent and rich the child's family is, he is still vulnerable to those who are surrounding him. The child doesn't know any better, that is why they are always susceptible to so much corruption.

The USA interestingly has the highest rate of abuse towards children. There are more than the usually five reports that are made daily due to this cause. It happens more commonly in children who are under the young age of four. Children are more vulnerable at this age mainly because of their innocence and lack of ability to defend themselves. They do not know that they could report this type of neglect, nor do they know that they are already being corrupted because these kids do not know any better at such a low age.

A lot of these incidents are also due to sexual abuses. It is interesting and horrifying to find that almost ninety per cent of the children who are sexually abused know their perpetrator in a personal way. It is more common for a kid to be abused by someone they know than they are to be abused by a complete stranger.

It is a downward spiral for a kid who has been sexually abused. They are more likely to experience sex in a casual setting because of their traumatic experience. They will also not take any safe sex and precautions due to their lack of complete understanding of sex. They are also more prone to transmitting sexual diseases, which lead to a lot of complications later on.

A lot of corruption towards children happen every day, and there are different types that people should be aware of. There is the physical abuse, where the kid is intentionally hurt physically by hitting, strangling, burning, etc. This causes a lot of physical and emotional pain and suffering for the child. There is also psychological negligence where the kid is punished and scolded, leaving them in an embarrassing or humiliating state.

There is also a type called negligence, where the kid's needs are not met. The kid is not provided with safety, shelter, protection, affection, and food.
